Artist in Residency Program 2017
Residencies are open to writers, painters, printmakers, sculptors, musicians, ceramicists and farmers. Each participating artist will be required to give a reading or a lecture and gallery exhibition or performance to the Castle Hill community and the general public.
The Castle Hill Campus has a well-equipped ceramic studio and houses electric and gas kilns, a salt kiln, and a wood-fired kiln. It has a darkroom (October, November) and a media/computer lab. Life-modeling sessions are held on a weekly basis. The Edgewood Farm Campus has a well-equipped printmaking studio as well as studio space alongside living spaces for painters, photographers and writers, and an outdoor work-space for sculptors.
The residency programs are offered during 2 terms each year in the spring and fall for three months periods. Time frames will range from one month to three month, plus week-long retreats in September.
