La Maison Verte Residency~ Open Call Year Round

La Maison Verte accommodates up to 3 artists at the same time. The house comprises 3 individual bedrooms, 1 kitchen, 1 communal room, and a shared bathroom. The house is furnished and has available for your use kitchen utensils, dishes, sheets, bath towels, a washing machine and also internet connection and a telephone line. It will be understood that communal spaces (kitchen, living room, garden, bathroom) will be respected and put back in order after each personal use (replacing equipment used, washing-up, cleaning, etc…) For non-French speakers, English and Spanish are also spoken.
Studio/ workspace Live-work shared studio spaces in the house. According to their projects, artists can also work in the Botanical Garden.
Fees and support A contribution of 400 euros per month is asked of each artist and any accompanying person to participate in the running costs of the house. Once the artist is selected, we send a letter of invitation that allows each artist to find the funding necessary to come to the residency.

Residencies~ Truro Center for the Arts at Castle Hill

Artist in Residency Program 2017
Residencies are open to writers, painters, printmakers, sculptors, musicians, ceramicists and farmers.  Each participating artist will be required to give a reading or a lecture and gallery exhibition or performance to the Castle Hill community and the general public.

The Castle Hill Campus has a well-equipped ceramic studio and houses electric and gas kilns, a salt kiln, and a wood-fired kiln. It has a darkroom (October, November) and a media/computer lab. Life-modeling sessions are held on a weekly basis. The Edgewood Farm Campus has a well-equipped printmaking studio as well as studio space alongside living spaces for painters, photographers and writers, and an outdoor work-space for sculptors.

The residency programs are offered during 2 terms each year in the spring and fall for three months periods. Time frames will range from one month to three month, plus week-long retreats in September.

The Studios at MASS MoCA

The Studios at MASS MoCA provides residencies up to 8 weeks for artists and writers, hosted by MASS MoCA’s Assets for Artists program. Selected artists receive private studio space on MASS MoCA’s campus, newly renovated housing, free access to the museum’s galleries throughout the residency, financial and business coaching from Assets for Artists staff, and free use of Makers’ Mill, a printmaking and fiber arts makerspace located a short walk from the Studios.

Applications are currently accepted through July 6, 2017, for residency sessions between October 13, 2017, and April 2, 2018. No application fee.

Prize for the emerging artist of the year – Luxembourg Art Prize

The Luxembourg Art Prize aims to reveal and promote talented artists who have yet to establish a profile on the contemporary international scene. Its function is to discover artists, and it is open to any artist, amateur or professional, with no limits on age, nationality or place of residence. The Prize is aimed at artists working in one or more of the following media: drawing, printing, installation, painting, performance, photography, digital art, sculpture, sound art, video, mixed media, decorative art (textiles and material, glass, wood, metal, ceramics, mosaic, paper or other techniques).

  • No age limit on submissions
  • Open to amateur and professional artists
  • All nationalities are eligible
  • Open to artists from all the countries of the world
  • Entry for the Luxembourg Art Prize 2017 is subject to the payment of an entry fee to be paid on-line.
  • Candidates’ entries must be completed on-line in the Candidate Space by 31 May 2017 at midnight.
  • grant of 25,000 euros is awarded by the gallery for the 2017 edition of the prize.

We would like to remind you that our program is designed for people with some experience in any of the following areas of contemporary art: curatorial studies, theory and philosophy of art, art history, art management and art production, visual arts, fine arts, arts and new media, architecture, interior architecture, photography, interior decoration, installation, design, theater, scenic design and music, as well as university graduates in the cultural studies field and literary studies.
The program is also suitable for candidates who have acquired certain curatorial skills through practical experience.

To apply it is necessary to submit the application form together with a CV and a short resume explaining the reasons you are applying to the Course before the 31th of March 2017.
